Thursday IF activities at ALA Annual Conference
Here are some intellectual freedom-related activities happening TODAY at the ALA Annual Conference in Washington, DC:
- There is still space available to attend the IFRT preconference, “Who Do I Trust to Protect My Privacy? Privacy Conversation Deliberative Forum and Moderator Training.” It will be held from 1:30 — 5:30 at the ALA Washington Office, 1615 New Hampshire Avenue, NW. Tickets are $25.00, which includes lunch, refreshments, and course materials.
Walk-in registration and attendance is welcome!
- Following its all-day Board meeting (note change of location to room 103 ABC of the Convention Center), the Freedom to Read Foundation will host a reception for members (and those who want to become FTRF members!) from 5:00-6:30 in room 148 of the Washington Convention Center. Learn about the goings on of the Foundation, and meet the 2010 Conable Scholarship recipient, Aubrey Madler.
