Student Action Results in Decision by School Board to “Unfreeze” Anti-Racist Resources in Central York, PA
An anti-racist, educational resource list was “frozen” until it could be vetted by the Central York School District board. In August 2021, the Central York High School principal sent an email to teachers, with the subject line, “Banned Resources,” and instructions to “Please see the attached list of resources that are not permitted to be utilized in the classroom.”

re: Book burning in Virginia. Please forgive this intrusion from Washington State.
I sympathize with the liberal students deprived of open book selection.
If I had an in with conservatives there, however, duplicitously, I would promote the burning event. Some of them may be wise to the optics and hesitate. But it must be put to them, “What else can we do with them? Sell them as used? Donate them to other schools? And waste this rallying PR op?” A bit of a challenge to their fiery impulse to overcome timidity.
Perhaps they will be shredded or pulped. In any case, I believe that the event must be filmed. For ours, and coming generations. The march is already on, and it is imperative to stiffen our resolve and, as in this case, expand public outreach.
