Change of location for Jan. 17 FTRF/GLBTRT author event in Boston

Freedom to Read Foundation, Midwinter Meeting/Annual Conference

The location for the January 17 FTRF author event and GLBTRT Midwinter social has been moved to the Harvard Medical School’s Countway Library of Medicine at 10 Shattuck Street in Boston.

Due to burst pipes at the Community Church of Boston, organizers of this exciting event had to find new digs – fortunately, the Countway Library of Medicine opened its doors to us!  Everything else remains the same – the start time (6:00 p.m.), the speakers (Leslea Newman and Michael Willhoite, plus the Stonewall Book Award announcements), the refreshments, and the historic nature of the event!

The library is at the Brigham Circle stop of the Green Line’s E line – it’s a bit further away than the church from the rest of the conference venues.  See for transit directions, or consider getting a group together to share a cab – it’s approximately a $20 fare from the Convention Center and $12 from the Boston Marriott Copley Place.

We look forward to seeing you there – and our apologies for any inconvenience.
