50 State Salute to Banned Books Week: Missouri, Utah, and Washington

Only 2 more days until Banned Books Week begins, and we’re pleased to share more videos that have been created for the 50 State Salute to Banned Books Week.

Today we feature libraries and librarians in Missouri, Utah, and Washington!

Jefferson County Library presents “Banned in Missouri,” which features Betty Olson speaking on censorship. This video is sponsored by the Missouri Library Association and MLA’s Intellectual Freedom Committee:

Salt Lake County Library Services, on behalf of the Utah Library Association produced, “We Celebrate the Freedom to Read”:

Ann Crewdson, chair of the Intellectual Freedom Interest Group for the Washington Library Association, reads a passage from “Paint Me Like I Am” in honor of the 50 State Salute to Banned Books Week:

    My favorites so far are Utah, Alabama, and South Dakota, but it is fun seeing Banned Books from so many points of view!
